Sixth Form

The Sixth Form at Ormiston Rivers Academy is a vibrant and enriching community that helps our students achieve and enjoy.

At Ormiston Rivers Sixth Form, we strive to offer a wide ranging and enriching education to our students. Our curriculum offer ensures that all students have the chance to build a programme of study that allows them to not only achieve, but to establish firm and productive progression routes for after their Sixth Form experience. All students also have regular access to qualified careers advisors and relevant guidance on their future progression into Higher Education, Apprenticeships or Employment.

Alongside their qualifications, students get the chance to engage in a number of extra-curricular opportunities, such as specialist online learning through courses with the UK’s top Universities, fundraising activities for Camps International excursions and enrichment trips to London theatres to name but a few. Furthermore, students have access to a variety of leadership opportunities in the Sixth Form; through organising sporting events, school shows and mentoring sessions for pupils lower down in the school. They can also be members of the Academy’s Student Council, or be part of our Sixth Form Leadership Team.

At the heart of the Sixth Form lies a strong system of pastoral care. The Sixth Form pastoral team are on hand to support students with their studies, career and higher education guidance and applications. Students are expected to develop and demonstrate qualities of self-motivation, maturity, resilience and commitment to their studies.

We are very proud of the outcomes achieved by our students.
