Lunchtime Arrangements

Meals are available at the following times:

Breakfast: 8.15am to 8.45am (Rivers Café only)

Break: 11.05am to 11.35am (Rivers Café & Tuck Shop)

Lunch: 1.35pm to 2.05pm (Rivers Café & Tuck Shop)

General Points:

  • Students are not permitted to leave the Academy premises during lunchtime.
  • The Academy uses a cashless catering system; wherever possible students should be registered with a biometric algorithm of their thumbprint. Should the Academy not receive consent to do this a pin will be issued which students must remember and use whenever they wish to purchase food.
  • Parents must set up a “Parentpay” account and ensure that there are sufficient funds available to cover the cost of student’s lunches/snacks. This can be done online or by using a “Paypoint” card at local stores. Paypoint cards cost £1.50 and must be requested from the Academy. If you have not received an activation letter or require a Paypoint card please contact Mrs Staniforth at the Academy via e-mail: jstaniforth@ormistonriversacademy.co.uk or on 01621 787823.
  • When students leave the Academy the balance on their parentpay account can either be refunded or transferred to a younger sibling at the Academy. The minimum refund amount is £5.00, smaller amounts will be transferred to the school fund.

Your child may be able to get free school meals if you receive any of the following:

  • Income Support or income-based Jobseekers Allowance
