A reminder is below of our uniform expectations, this letter was sent home by Miss Goodfellow following an earlier text a few months ago.

As our return to school is now less than three weeks away I felt it was an appropriate time to once again remind you of the Academy uniform requirements. Please find attached the uniform policy for 2019/20. I would like to highlight some points to help you when purchasing your son/daughters uniform and preparing them for the new school year. This applies to all students in years 7 to 11.
School Shoes – Plain black school shoes which should not have heels over 2cm.
Trainers, of any kind, are not permitted
Canvas shoes, e.g. Vans, Converse, plimsolls are not permitted
Boots, platforms, sandals, sling backs & fashion shoes are not permitted
Kickers, if worn, must be completely black including stitching and laces
School Trousers – must be plain black school trousers.
Leggings are not permitted, whether worn as trousers or under the academy kilt
Jeans and canvas style trousers are not permitted
Decorative belts, combat style and cropped trousers are not permitted
Socks – should be black.
Over the knee and trainer socks are not permitted
Patterned tights and leggings are not permitted
Girls can wear knee length black socks. Trainer and ankle socks are not permitted
Coats & Jumpers – only the academy jumper should be worn.
Sweatshirts & Hoodies of any description do not qualify as “coats” and are not permitted.
Bags – should be large enough to carry the correct equipment for learning, including A4 folders.
Hair & make up – students can wear minimal, natural make up and nails. Any changes to hair colour must be natural. Haircuts must be no shorter than grade 1 all over. Extreme haircuts will not be accepted.
Jewellery – a wristwatch and stud earrings (no more than one in each ear) are permitted
No other form of facial or body piercing is permitted
Equipment for learning – all students are required to have sufficient equipment to enable them to learn and achieve their full potential. A full list, including a price list for the Academy shop, is attached. Yours faithfully,
