Our year 11 girls enjoyed their second STEM Accelerate University trip to the University of Essex in Colchester. They were presented to by positive role models in STEM followed by an informative session detailing the true cost of of going to Uni with financial details of how it is paid back, which surprised the girls of how affordable it really is.
The afternoon included an interactive STEM workshop where the girls were able to build, code and adapt their own Lego robot. The competition was to adapt the original design to pull their own Lego duck connected to an iPad to code the robot.
Two of our girls Chloe and Chloe won the competition! Well done girls for taking part, a great day had by all. Looking forward to the next one!
