Coronavirus further update Thursday 19th March

Firstly, I would like to thank all parents and carers for their continued support. The students who were in school today were a credit despite the ongoing uncertainty. If you saw the Government briefing this evening, you will be aware that nothing was mentioned about schools. From last night’s announcement, it was stated that schools would only be open from Monday onwards to children with named social workers, children with an EHC plan and children of key workers. At the time of writing, it has not been confirmed who meets the Government’s key worker criteria. However we have sent out a form earlier today to collect what they have identified as a key worker so far. As soon as we know the list, we will email you with further guidance so that we can establish which children to expect in school next week. However if you have not completed the form so far, please do so as support staff will be contacting you tomorrow for this information as it is crucial.   On Monday students either in school or at home will be set work on the google classroom. If you have not managed to access this resource please contact Mr Crawford tomorrow. Tomorrow we will also be launching a wellbeing google classroom and a literacy online platform to support you all further. Further details will be shared in due course. Mrs Baker
