On our recent trip to Amsterdam, 9 Sixth Form Health and Social Care students enjoyed a visit to the Bodyworks museum and Anne Frank's house. The Bodyworks museum has a focus on the Happiness Project and was incredible. The displays show the internal organs of the human body in plastinated form, the educational focus is to show how to keep the human body healthy and happy.
Anne Frank's attic is in the centre of Amsterdam, a truly moving experience We explored, compared and contrasted the lack of values during the second World War, in comparison to the British Values we use today. We reflected on Modern Day comparisons and whether we have progressed as a society or not?
Our students had plenty of time for sightseeing, souvenir shopping, Dutch ice-cream and taking in the atmosphere of the beautiful canals.
