Our Senior Leadership Team
Mrs Emma Baker
Mrs Baker is responsible for the strategic direction of the academy and the overall outcomes for students.
Mrs Baker has a BA honours in Education Studies and Information Technology from the University Liverpool John Moore’s. She also holds the NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headship) awarded by the Future Leaders Programme.
Mrs Baker is passionate about ensuring that all students have the best education possible. Her interests and hobbies include spending time with her family. Mrs Baker has a young daughter who keeps her busy. She loves to travel and visit new places.
Mr Paul Healy
Mr Healy is responsible for curriculum planning and development and is also the SLT link for the Academy's Sixth Form and Art, Design and Technology.
Mr Healy has a Research Masters in Mathematical Physics from Limerick University and teaches Maths. He is passionate about ensuring every student reaches their potential and has a pathway in which then can succeed. He has held many Senior positions in a range of schools.
He is a lifelong fan of Liverpool FC and Munster (Rugby!)
Mrs Jane Bennett
Mrs Bennett is responsible for Teaching & Learning throughout the Academy and is the lead for the Initial Teacher Training and NQT programmes. In addition, Mrs Bennett organises and develops the CPD programme for all staff in the Academy. Mrs Bennett is the SLT link for Year 7, Science, MFL, Humanities and Special Needs. She also oversees all aspects of Primary liaison
Mrs Bennett has an MA (Hons) in German from the University of Edinburgh. She completed the National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership with The National College and now facilitates this training for schools across the region.
Mrs Bennett is passionate about language learning and speaks German, French and Spanish. She enjoys travelling and exploring new places as well as reading. She indulges her creative side through a love of baking and is currently learning Makaton as a new form of language and communication.
Ms Sandra Carroll
Ms Carroll is responsible for Curriculum Planning and Development, Exams, Data, Assessment & Reporting. She line manages performing arts and is joint SLT Link for KS4.
Ms Carroll has a degree in Applied Computational Linguistics from Dublin City University. She carried out postgraduate studies at the National University of Ireland, Maynooth, achieving a Postgraduate Higher Diploma in Music Technology and a MA in Computer Music. She has several piano and music theory qualifications as well as holding several national and international titles in Sports Acrobatics (Gymnastics).
Ms Carroll is passionate about sports, especially gymnastics and formula 1 motorsports. She also enjoys singing and playing music in her spare time, especially working in musical theatre with the amazing students at Ormiston Rivers Academy.
Ms Georgia Flack
Ms Flack is responsible for Reading and literacy across the academy and is a member of our teaching and learning team. Mrs Flack line manages English and is the SLT Link for Year 8.
Ms Flack has a degree in English Language from the University of Gloucestershire. She enjoys sunny walks in the countryside, trips to the theatre and getting lost in a good book. Prior to joining Ormiston Rivers Academy, she was a Lead Practitioner of English and a Specialist Leader of Education.
Ms Kate Goodfellow
Ms Goodfellow is our Designated Safeguarding Lead and is Mental Health First Aid trained. She is responsible for Behaviour and Personal Development, and line manages the Academy's Pastoral Support Team.
Ms Goodfellow has a degree in Drama and Theatre Studies from Roehampton University. She is passionate about the theatre and sharing her love of this. She takes part annually in the National Theatre Connections Festival with the young student theatre company she has formed in school.
Mrs Jo Ingate
Mrs Ingate is responsible for Catch-up Literacy and Numeracy, Pupil Premium and Looked After Children, as well as our Most Able (including the strategic development of our Elite Scholar Program). She leads on the Academy's Rewards programme and on Google Education, marketing, website/social media platforms. Mrs Ingate line manages Social Sciences and is the SLT Link for Year 9.
Mrs Ingate has a BA Hons in Design from Central Saint Martins University and her Masters is in Teaching and Learning. Before joining the teaching profession she was a Creative and Art Director. Through lecturing she fell in love with teaching and has completed the National Professional Qualification in Senior Leadership through the Future Leaders Programme.
Mrs Ingate is a lover of Paddleboarding and Photography and can often be seen out on the water doing both with her dog or children perched on the front of the board. She is also a passionate advocate of the Creative Arts and STEM.
Mr Garret Patton
Mr Patton is a leading member of our teaching, learning and assessment team. Mr Patton line manages Science and is joint SLT Link for KS4.
Mr Patton has a degree in Biochemistry from Queens University and is a Science enthusiast. Mr Patton enjoys long distance running and has competed in Marathons including the London Marathon. He also leads our Science Faculty and is an avid Scientist and Mathematician.
Mr Mark Wright
Mr Wright is responsible for Personal Development, Attendance and Key Stage 2 to 3 Transition.
Mr Wright has a BA (Hons) in English and an MA in Culture and Social Change from the University of Southampton, as well as an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Hertfordshire. Prior to joining Ormiston Rivers Academy, he was an Assistant Headteacher in two secondary schools, as well as an Advanced Skills Teacher of English and a Lead Practitioner.
Mr Wright is an avid reader and movie-goer, as well as a writer of young adult fiction, who enjoys inspiring young people to write creatively and do all they can to achieve their ambitions. He also enjoys squash, mountain-biking and jump-starting each day with a HIIT workout. Outside of term time, he enjoys visiting other countries and experiencing their cultures with his wife and three sons.
Finance & Business Director
Mrs Angela Mahoney
Mrs Mahoney is responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of the Academy's finances and facilities, including site management. She is also the Designated Health & Safety Officer.
Mrs Mahoney has a Diploma in School Business Management (DSBM) and is currently studying with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT). She is a former Business Consultant and ran her own consultancy in the City of London for 15 years, up until 2015.
Mrs Mahoney is an avid rugby fan and a Wasps season ticket holder. She likes all sport and also enjoys walking her dog, studying, music and reading.
HR Manager & Principals P.A.
Mrs Julie Damps
Mrs Damps is responsible for the strategic oversight of Academy HR and staffing, and works closely alongside the Principal and Vice-Principals as Personal Assistant. She is one of the Academy's Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads, as well as being the Academy Complaints Officer.
Mrs Damps has a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management from the University of East London, as well as many secretarial and Business & Finance qualifications. She has worked at Ormiston Rivers Academy for several years, and prior to this, has spent almost her entire working career in the education sector.
Mrs Damps is passionate about English and is currently studying for an Open University Degree in English Literature & Creative Writing in her spare time. She is an avid reader and also enjoys gardening and spending time with her family.
