Assistant Principal

Salary: Competitive (Leadership Scale)

We need your vision, drive & determination to help us in our journey towards “Outstanding” at our highly successful and nationally recognised Academy.

You will play a central role within our Senior Leadership Team; providing vision & operational deliverance on matters such as curriculum planning, data & standards, well-being, behaviour & safety, and teaching & learning. You will utilise the best of your talents whilst developing personally within a committed and experienced group of senior leadership colleagues.

Our overall Progress 8 score of +0.70 in 2017 placed us within the top 10% of schools nationally, and ranked us as the highest performing non-selective school in Essex. Subject Lead – Modern Foreign Languages

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic, committed and enthusiastic Subject Lead for our Modern Foreign Languages Department.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate dynamic and creative classroom practice and evidence of successful outcomes; combined with a genuine passion for their subject, and the desire to inspire this passion in others.

Head of Humanities Department: History or Geography Specialist

Teachers’ Pay Scale + TLR payment (negotiable depending on experience)
September 2018 start

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic, committed and enthusiastic Head of Department to lead our flourishing and successful Humanities Department (incorporating History & Geography).

The successful candidate should be a History or Geography specialist, and will be able to demonstrate dynamic and creative classroom practice and evidence of successful outcomes, as well as relevant experience and growth within the profession and a genuine passion for their subject. The role will include the opportunity to teach up to Key Stage 5 (experience desirable but not essential).

Mathematics Teacher

We are seeking to recruit an outstanding Mathematics teacher to join the Department in our highly successful, growing and over-subscribed academy.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate dynamic, creative and inspirational classroom practice and a genuine passion for their subject.

Ormiston Rivers Academy were placed within the top 5% nationally in 2016 and 2017 for our overall Progress 8 score. We are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to enable us to continue to build on these achievements.
